Career Practicum is a program for juniors and seniors who are interested in acquiring career skills and training. At the heart of the program are the twin goals of improving quality and relevance of education for students and improving their knowledge of and access to high-skill, high-growth occupations.
Students are required to take four regular classes in the morning rotation, attend scheduled classroom seminars, and engage in on-site training at a career site. These career sites correlate with students' interests and abilities. Classroom seminar topics include goal and objective setting, career exploration, transferable skill identification, resume building, job search, interview techniques, and exploring the workplace environment
Admission is by counselor referral only.
